Tipping Point is defined as "a point at which a slow gradual change becomes irreversible and then proceeds with gathering pace." Tipping Point the band lives by its name and has potential to become a tipping point in the 209.

At the Boiler Room on July 31, Tipping Point had the crowd tappin’ their feet, bobbin’ their heads and begging for an encore. Although it was their first gig, you would never be able to tell because the vibe in the room was chill and the band was energetic.

With passionate vocals and a well-rehearsed backline, Tipping Point had people dancing, clapping and singing along. Their diverse setlist - which featured covers of songs by Lauryn Hill to Tracy Chapman as well as originals - always had the crowd looking forward to what was coming next. They played well together and knew all the breaks and stops in the songs, without ever lacking their own personal style.

This young group is appealing to a lot of different people; the Boiler Room was packed.

Ology also got a good reaction from the crowd with its soulful style, but they took a lot of solos and were a lot more relaxed.
