Fishbone is coming back to the 209, and 209Vibe and Beat Happy Music! have your tickets to the show.

The groundbreaking L.A. act will perform Nov. 13 at Hero's in Modesto with Natives of the New Dawn, Redeye Empire and Heavy Mojo. Hero's is located at 821 L St. Modesto.

Fishbone's last local performance was in 2006, when it brought its blend of ska, punk, funk, poetry and art to the Stockton Empire Theatre. The band's style has earned it comparisons with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jane‘s Addiction.

In the early 1990s Fishbone became national stars when its video for “Everyday Sunshine." Most of the band's lineup has since changed, and singer Angelo Moore Moore and bassist Norwood Fisher are the only original members. Current members include guitarist Rocky George, formerly of thrash legends Suicidal Tendencies.
