About La Circa

La Circa formed in early 2006 as a project between guitarist Dylan Todt and drummer Roman Gonzalez. After playing a number of successful local venue shows, permanent members Noel Valencia on bass, Derek Blythe on vocals and Grant Lee on second guitar were brought in to complete the current line up. In October 2006, La Circa recorded its first four-song demo in 12 hours at Deathbot Studios and immediately began planning and booking shows for the upcoming year. With a solid demo, and the hard-hitting varieties of music, La Circa was complete. In January 2007, La Circa became the focus of several local news articles. Capitalizing on a high-energy live performance, La Circa began to draw the attention of a larger audience. With an emphasis on solid stage presence and crowd interaction, La Circa has proven to be a reliable headlining band over and over again. Using February to put the last touches on the next set of songs, a second five-song demo was completed in mid-March followed by a Spring Tour in April. The Spring Tour consisted of seven dates starting in the Central Valley and continuing through Southern California. Since returning from tour, La Circa has developed a new determination to constantly develop its sound in a progressive way while maintaining a live performance that makes any venue fee worth its price. In July 2007, La Circa went back to the studio to record their first EP. The EP will be release sometime toward the end of the year.
