About Dego
“I’m still here,” Dego responds when asked what motivates him to rap. “I still have something to say.” Indeed he does. Dego has been recognized by many for his reality rhymes, which tend to include specific times and events in his life.
Inspired by California rappers Murs and San Quinn, Dego says “I rap about what I know, what I feel, and what I see.” This has proven to be a successful formula for the Stockton, California native. His flows on MC Mafia’s “The 12 Month Theory” have gained him solid support among his peers. On “Glitter Aint Gold,” he speaks on the events that led up to him joining the Marine Corps, and eventually being deployed to Iraq. Dego raps, “I thought I was grown, but really I didn’t know, what life had in store; my future would hold”.
Currently working on his solo debut album, "California Grown," only time will tell what his future holds.
