About The Outlaw Dance Society

The Outlaw Dance Society (formerly The Gallows) are Stockton's premier Alt-Folk-Punk Ensemble. Featuring members of some of Stockton's biggest punk acts, including Scattered Fall, The Lobstrosities and Cremasters of Disaster, you wouldn't expect this band to sound like this. Conjuring up images of faraway coasts, pirates, hangings and drunken halls, The Outlaw Dance Society take you to places in time and in the mind. In the short time they have been together they have gone from being the Thursday night house band at the Blackwater Cafe to opening up for bands as diverse as The Violent Femmes to The Reverend Horton Heat. They are right at home be it a Celtic Fair, a 2,500-seat Theatre or just a cafe. You have known them as The Gallows; you will know them as The Outlaw Dance Society. Either way you know them for the music.
