Envious 209 was born in 1991, as hip-hop was just rising. As he grew up, hip-hop culture attached to him and became a part of his life. At the age of 10, he was already freestyling whenever he could. By the time he turned 11, he had recorded at a local studio in Stockton, and this was his first track ever recorded. After that, he had lost contact with the owner of the studio, so he had bought a notebook to scribble his rhymes. Envious 209 has notebooks filled with his lyrics and plans to write more. Since then, he’s been in the work of making his own home studio and has a decent one so far. During the years, he has recorded with many rappers through the Internet, and most of them are from the East Coast. He mentioned that he wants to see the East and West collaborate more and eventually bring real hip-hop back.
