About Doja Clik
Doja Clik/REN da HEATMONSTA hailing from Mudville, California. They first hit the scene in 94 with the now legendary and hard to find c.d. "Hard on da Grind" w/ different spelling (Doesia Click) with underground street hits and two of Stockton's most famous songs besides Killa Tribes "Home Alone" "Chronic Bionic" and "DUNGEON" selling 20,000 units with no air play or promotion, just word of mouth. The group got nation wide exposure and put them on the next level. After blowin up the region they worked on a second c.d. with new spelling (DOJA CLIK) called Women, Cars & Firearms (209's most bootlegged c.d. ever!) which was suppost to drop after H.O.D.G. c.d. but Ren decided to shelf it cause it was recorded on a 4 track like the previous c.d. and he saw how fast the group exploded on the Northern Cali scene he wanted to do a studio album, thats when "SPEED KILLS" (1997) was conceived, he then put together a 209 classic with known Bay area artist(s) GUCE, San Quinn, JT the Bigga Figga (founder of Dr Dre's artist Game) and merced heavyweight Young Droop. with another Classic song 209415 and "I puts it down with Guce" and a remix feat Suga T. Speed kills was a instant classic selling over 40,000 units with $100,000 budget, 1 video feat E-40 sis Suga-T (search doja clik on youtube.com) and major magazine adds in Lowrider mag, Illtip, 4080, Showcase, Murderdog, Downlow, Boss Status, etc.. a string of shows with acts such as Luniz (Yukmouth), Mac Dre (before thizz), 3xKrazy (Keek da Sneek), Too$hort, Suga-T, E-40, B-legit, Celly Cel, Bad Influence, Dru Down, Guce, Lighter Shade of Brown, Kid Frost, Rodney O and Joe Cooley, Turf Talk etc.. too many to name, and a nationwide tour with Lowrider magazine. Alot of labels like Priority Records, Rap-a-lot, Dangerous Music, The Gov from Oakland (3xKrazy), Jay King (Club Nouveau)and a few others were interested in Doja Clik but Ren thought the deals were not up to the groups standards so he passed so he can stay independent and do it his way, disagreements with his current label Indoja Records caused Ren to go solo in 99' with his release "Undaground Mailroad" selling only 6,000 units, but with no promotion thats not bad, independent scratch. 2002 he finds himself back with another doja clik c.d. "THC" pressing up just 4,000 to make some quick money, doing another 4 track c.d. to bypass the money to pay for studio time, 2006 Ren puts out the best of Doja Clik (limited edition) with tracks from 94 to 06 putting the past behind him and looking forward to a bright future in this business, look out for the new studio album "daMUDVILLEkING" coming soon in 08
