About STD

STD is Stephen Coggins - Bass / Vocal Steven Mahoney – Guitar/Vocal Thomas McFall - Drums Dalton Simpson - Guitar STD started as part of the 2005 Stairway To Stardom Program for Skip’s Music in Sacramento as a band called Syndrome, where the members were paired with a professional musician/coach. For 6 weeks, they wrote, practiced, and ultimately performed three original compositions at a concert venue for family, friends, media and celebrity judges. After the program was over, 13-year-old Stephen (bass), 16-year-old Thomas (drums) and 15 year old Dalton (guitar) decided to stick together and convinced their coach, Steve Mahoney, to mentor the band. Steve, a veteran of the music scene also performs as vocalist for the band. STD has built up a steady following since their initial show with a consistent draw of 150- 200 fans per show. They have graced the stages of the big Sacramento venues and already been requested by many Sacramento area music veterans. STD has a 3 song CD called “Something To Do” available from the band’s MERCHANDISE page on the internet. The band’s eagerly anticipated full-length CD will be available in March 2008, with a regional tour to follow. STD is endorsed by Hot Picks USA and DW Drum Hardware.
