About The Great Oglee Moglee Blues Band
Originally formed in the fall of 2007 in Stockton, California, The Great Oglee Moglee Blues Band or GOM for short, first set out to create their own brand of the blues. Armed with a handful of original songs they entered the studio to create a self-produced six-song demo. Their sound is a mix of blues, rock, and funk, a sound they decided to call “Blues For The 21st Century”. The guys have been playing in and around the Stockton area and surrounding delta region since April 2008. They have played with some the area’s well-loved bands such as The Mike Torres Band, The James Blonde Band, and The Highway 61 Blues Band. Recently they had the honor of sharing the stage with Zakiya Hooker, daughter of blues legend John Lee Hooker. Over the last year they have played numerous festivals including: Prowl’n The Mile Music Festival, Stockton’s Music in the Square, Taste of San Joaquin Food Festival, Contra Costa County’s Toys for Tots Rally, and The Brentwood Cornfest. They have also appeared at some of the area’s top “hot spots” like The Fat Cat in Modesto, Stockton’s Fat’s Grill & Bar and The Matinee Video Lounge, as well as the Delta’s Tower Park Resort, Happy Harbor Resort and JJ's Blues in San Jose, CA.
