About the Strangers

the Strangers are an indie rock band from Stockton with a upbeat, dance-oriented sound often refered to as "post-punk." Drawing from influences as diverse as the Ramones, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Kinks and Dick Dale. Since forming in the Fall of 2007, the band has performed in Stockton, Modesto, San Francisco and San Jose with future dates in Berkeley and Sacramento and are slated to tour in Southern California, including dates in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Hollywood and Long Beach. You can hear the Strangers on the Radio in the Santa Cruz/Monterey area on KPIG 107.5, in the San Jose area on KSJS 105.5, in the Turlock area on KSCS 96.3.
