About Stockton Symphony

Mission The mission of the Stockton Symphony is to engage, educate, and inspire the community through a commitment to excellence in its performances and programs. Vision “The Vision for the Stockton Symphony is to provide the premier orchestral experience for residents of the San Joaquin Valley; to enhance and enrich the lives of the residents of our community through life-long learning about music and the arts; and to provide the cultural leadership that results in the financial foundation to achieve our vision.” History Founded in 1926 by violinist and conductor Manlio Silva, the Stockton Symphony is one of the pre-eminent performing arts organizations in San Joaquin County, and the third oldest orchestra in California. The Symphony has been presenting live orchestral concerts for 82 years.
