About 3rdRayle

3rdRayle was born on August 23, 1983 at the infamous French Camp Hospital to a 17 year old Tonia Renee Taylor. He spent his first eight years growing up on the then deadly streets of the Conway Housing Projects on the south side of Stockton, Ca. In 1993 he moved from his mothers house off of Charter way to live with his dad on the then safer North side. He grew up around drugs, drug dealing, and as he describes a very influential gang enviroment implemented by his older brother Marcus. 3rd Rayle felt the pulls of life early as his parents were never married leaving him feeling "blown in the wind" by life and the troubling times it has to offer. At the tender age of nine he and his cousin started experimenting with rap by rapping over his uncles old record instrumentals on a tape deck receiver. As he grew up he grew out of rapping, however rap music was always a part of his life. One of the most prominent rap figures he grew up listening to was none other than 2pac Shakur. 2pacs' way with words as well as ability to put them to a beat simply amazed 3rd Rayle. The gift of poetry and spoken word was also in his soul although he would not discover this until middle school. 3rdRayle is a connoisseur of music as his tastes range from rap and r&b to rock and old school. In 2001 after the tragic death of R&B phenomenon Aaliyah, and going through personal struggles of his own, he felt he needed to express him self in a manner that could truly elaborate on how he was feeling at the time. Calling on his gift of writing he elaborated on how he felt in a way that only he could. It was then that he met his friend and future partner in rhyme Strykez. At this pivotal point in his life that he decided to combine his uncanny ability of writing and expressing himself with words with his love for music that would later transform him into the rapper he is today. As he started getting more serious about his rapping he called upon the inspiration of his childhood idol, 2pac. Intrigued with the way 2pac was able to put his life experiences on paper to a beat 3rdRayle began to do the same with is own life experiences. Armed with 3rd Rayle’s unmatched ability to express himself with words, and Strykez uncanny play with words, the two began their quest for greatness, starting at the most humble beginnings with a karaoke machine in Strykez' garage recording on tape. This spawned the birth of the group Lyrical Outlawz. Around this time 3rdRayle would experience the blows of lifes' wind again when a friend was accidentally shot and killed, his aunt and cousin were murdered by his own cousin, and his uncle past away from lung cancer. To add to the turmoil he parted ways with his long time girlfriend due to infidelity. As 3rdRayle and Strykez progressed in their writing skills they also collaborated with other artists as well as updated from analog to digital recording. In between working with Strykez and collaborating with other artists, in 2004 3rd Rayle dropped his debut under ground CD "Untitled" under the alias of Cali Balla. In 2005 he oversaw the production as well as distribution of the groups first official mix tape. This was a landmark in his newly beginning career because it was the first CD he dropped with the most collaborators outside of Strykez. After receiving great feedback from his underground debut the fire was lit, and he was more motivated than ever to begin working on his new solo project which would be later called, Haters Eulogy. In 2006 3rd Rayle showed off his skills of not only being a good rapper but a great leader as he coordinated the release of 2 mix tapes as well as his second CD at the same time. One of those mix tapes would prove to be a reflection on how far he had come and how respected he was locally because of the big local names he was able to acquire to be on the CD which was titled "Mudville Madness." The other mix tape was called “Jackin for Beats part 1. Not one to be slowed down, in 2007 he started work on his third solo album titled "3RD RAYLE" as well as the sequel to "Jackin for Beats" "Jackin 4 Beats Part 2." Not only is he feverent about his own music, but he also is serious about his groups projects over-seeing the project of his friend Strykez titled "Nothin 2 Lose." 2008 looks to be a promising year with the end of 2007 seeing his self titled album drop the groups "Jackin 4 Beats" mix tape as well as Strykez "Nothin 2 lose." With all this under his belt 3rd Rayle is still lit like a firecracker already working his 4th studio album untitled. Look out for this hustler of exceptional proportions as he demands the attention of the rap game underground as well as mainstream.
