About Tara Tinsley
Not many females can take the stage like Tara Tinsley, she makes heads turn. With vocals and lyrics more mature than her age, people are in awe that a girl, only 21, can do what she does at such a young age. Her music has the acoustic feel of Jack Johnson and Jewel, mixed with the female edge of Avril Lavigne, fueled with the concept of Tom Petty. Songs that get stuck in your head and you don't want them to leave you. Tara Tinsley's music cannot really be classified into a certain genre because it;s so unique and so attractive that many people feel like it should be in its own category. The beginning of Tara Tinsley's life as a musician started when she was born, July 1st, 1984. That should be the day that we start counting how long she has been bound for success because she was born to be a star. It all started in a small village in Pinckney, MI where she grew not only into an amazing woman but into the talented musician and songwriter that she is today. Self taught on guitar since the age of 14, Tara wrote her first song the day she learned her first chord. "I remember sitting in my basement trying to teach myself the G chord. Once I finally got it, I would play it over and over again singing and writing every good idea down on a piece of paper." Tara recalls. Even with the talent that she did posses and even with the encouragement from her parents, Tara still could not break free from her shyness and sing in front of anyone without making them turn their eyes away when she wanted to share a song with them. That is, until her Mom got her into singing the National Anthem at various local motocross races. Still her need and want to share her own music with the world grew and soon she began performing her music in front of crowds, finally beginning to break free and fuel the Star inside her. Once she graduated high school, her and her family moved to California where her dreams of success would thrive. Now Tara Tinsley is touring the world and has accomplished more goals that she has ever dreamed. She appears in newspapers all over Northern California regularly, her hit song "Physically Impossible" is being played on radio stations in Northern California, Florida, and Los Angeles. Tara's debut album, "Come and Go" is being sold in stores in California and New York. She has been nominated for Best Acoustic Musician for the M.A.M.A. Awards in 2005 and won the Best Band Award for the Bands 4 Bands Awards in 2006. She has written well over 300 songs in her lifetime and has performed at major venues such as, the Pontiac Silverdome in Michigan, the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and Angels Stadium in Anaheim, CA. Tara Tinsley's ultimate goal with her music is to appear on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. "No more, No less" she says. "That is my image of true success."
