You’ve probably noticed a significant change in the local nightlife scene if you’ve driven on Pacific Avenue in north Stockton recently.

Brandenburg’s 276, which was located at 6002 Pacific Ave. and had been one of the city’s top singles bars, is no more.

In its place is Touche Euro Lounge, which is expected to hold its grand opening this weekend. Touche’s MySpace site states that the club is open seven days a week and features a DJ on Friday and Saturday.

A flier on the site notes that “it’s time for Stockton nightlife to grow up.”

Touche is the city’s second trendy lounge, following Envy, which opened in August 2007 and quickly became one of the city’s hottest clubs.

A third lounge - Taste Ultralounge - is planned for Stockton, according to Taste’s Web site. - Ian Hill / 209Vibe editor
