Icarus Jones CD release party!

Icarus Jones CD release party!

Icarus Jones is a freak, and not in that R. Kelly, straight-to-DVD, lampooned by Chappelle sort of way (and not just because he thanks 209Vibe in his liner notes). The Stockton rapper is a freak in a good way; like an X-Man, Jones uses his incredible power for the betterment of a society that may hate him for his talent.

That society is hip-hop, with its wanna-be thugs hangin' in da club, and Jones' power is his phenomenal verbal flow. It hits you on "Smoke Signals to Satellites," Jones' new CD with Bay Area producer dBeat. It's an amazing piece of work - and 209Vibe is giving you the chance to be part of its release.

We're giving away tickets to the CD release party, which will feature performances by The Icarus Jones Collective, DJ No Shame, Greyspace, Neglected and Tom Knocks performing June 13 at Matinee in Stockton. Ticket holders also will recieve a copy of "Smoke Signals to Satellites."

Just fill out the form at right for your chance to win.

Enter as often as you'd like; contest ends at noon June 11; winners will be notified June 12; employees of ONI-Stockton, their families and promoters who do business with 209Vibe are not eligible to win.

Winners: Beka Graham, Chris Pocoroba, and Candice San Juan
